LAW ENFORCEMENT MEMORIAL DAY - Sunday, May 21st, Courthouse Lawn, South Main Street, New City, 11 AM. Come join the families and friends of law enorcement as we take a momemtn to honor and remember those who laid their lives down in service to our community.

MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY - Friday, May 27th, Street School, Zukor Road and North Main Street, New City, 11:00 AM. Sponsored by the Town of Clarkstown and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, New City, Post #851. Join us in commemoration of thsie who sacrificed all for our liberty today.

MEMORIAL DAY PARADE AND CEREMONY - Monday, May 30th, parade kickoff from the Stop and Shop Center at 10:00 AM, marching south to the County Courthouse for the annual presentation. Sponsored by the American Legion Post, New City, Post #1682. A very special day for me personally, as a veteran of two wars, my son Captain Christopher Day, will be the keynote speaker.

NEW CITY FIRE DEPARTMENT MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE - Monday, May 30th, in front of the New City Fire Engine Company #1, Maple and Demarest Avenue, New City, immediately following the New City parade and presentation.

JUNE 

NATURALIZATION CEREMONY - Friday, June 3rd, Haverstraw Middle School, 16 Grant Street, 10:30 AM. Come join in celebration of one hundred new American citizens joining this great Country of ours. 

KEN ZEBROWSKI MEMORIAL WALK - Saturday, June 4th, Congers Memorial Park, Gilchrest Road, 9AM. Individual entries $20; family entries $30. All proceeds to the Ken Zebrowski Memorial Fund in honor of the late assemblyman and county legislator from right here in New City. RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN KICKOFF ANNOUNCEMENT WITH NY YANKEE LEGEND TOMMY JOHN - Monday, June 6th, CB KItchen and Bar Restaurant, 190 South Main Street (Clarkstown Shopping Center), New City, 6PM to 8PM. Come join "Your" Legislator Ed Day as he formally announces his candidacy for a second full term serving all of us in the Rockland County Legislature. NY Yankee legend Tommy John will be on hand too, so bring a baseball item for a autograph and a camera for a photo op. Food, wine, and beer also included for only $89 per person or $139 per couple.

FRIENDS OF FUREY BENEFIT Sunday, July 17th, St. Dominic Council Knights of Columbus, 150 West Erie Street, Blauvelt, 2:00 to 8:00 PM. New City resident and Clarkstown boys swim coach Keith Furey, a 48 year old husband, father of 5, and grand dad of 1, is fighting Stage 4 liver and lung cancer. Fundraiser will help their critical need for financial help. Only $30 per adult/$10 per child gives you the satisfaction of helping one of our own, and other opportunities such as a Mega Raffle are available. EASTER - Sunday, April 24th. Join our neighbors of the Christian faith as they celebrate the central religious feast in the Christian liturgical year where according to scripture, Jesus rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixtion.
